The Vision:
Unfortunately, the homeless crisis affects everyone, whether you have personally experienced it or not. It is a complex social problem that affects our communities in many different ways. Chronic homelessness causes strain and financial hardship on our society.
On a personal note, we have painfully watched a family member suffer with mental health issues and homelessness. We have offered our homes to him for rest, drove him to 12 step meetings for recovery, fed him for hunger, and gave him support for mental health services. The first bed was assigned to him.
We have decided to join the cause to help end homelessness in America. We felt powerless with this family member’s crisis. We believe our society has failed him and countless others. After a conversation with God, we created our non-profit organization and in honor of this family member, we named it Served with Love Foundation. We want to serve others with the love of God. We want to remain humble and in faith, when our time here is no more, hear God whisper, “Well done, my good and faithful servant”.
